The freedom of religion in Kazakhstan

“The Freedom of Religion in Kazakhstan” project focuses on improvement of legislation in the field of religion in Kazakhstan in compliance with international standards, as well as on capacity building of religious and public leaders on advocacy skills, use of social media, and improvement of their legal literacy.
IWPR is an international non-profit media organisation that provides support to development of local media outlets, independent journalists and the freedom of speech. IWPR programmes operate in 30 world countries, including republics of Eastern Europe, Middle East, Caucasus, Africa, Central America and Southeast Asia. In Central Asia, IWPR has worked since 1999.

The project is aimed at improvement of legislation in Kazakhstan in the field of religion in compliance with international standards.
